Since June 2008, KETC/Channel 9 has been helping the St. Louis community face the on-going mortgage crisis by connecting those in need with trusted community resources to help them address or prevent a foreclosure situation and deal with other aspects of the current financial crisis. Our work continues here at our new interactive Web site. You’ll find all the same great content, and hopefully even more resources to help you or those you know.

As we all face the mortgage and financial crisis, we will continue to bring you information from experts, trusted resources, and the St. Louis community.

If you are having problems with your mortgage the time to act is now. There are trusted community resources available to help but you have to ask. For help call the United Way’s 24 hour helpline at 1-800-427-4626 and they will connect you to the help that you need.

I am calling the number posted on the website. I was told if I made 3 payments I would get a loan modification after the last payment. However I got a certified letter yesterday from my mortgage company (Wells Fargo)saying I was in default! even though I made the three payments. I only missed one regular payment in Septrmber and even though unemployed for over a year managed to make my payments on time So I am in need of help since i can’t afford a lawyer. Thanks for providing the number.
