KWMU Town Hall Tomorrow

Tomorrow KWMU will host a Town Hall event–please see below for details and information on attending.  Don’t forget to tune in for the broadcast from 7-8 p.m.!

The mortgage crisis continues to have a devastating effect on individuals, families, neighborhoods and businesses throughout the St. Louis region. 90.7 KWMU, with assistance from community partners and KETC, will hold a Town Hall Meeting that will be broadcast live from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Touhill Performing Art Center’s Lee Theater.   Please join KETC’s Living St. Louis host Jim Kirchherr and a panel of guests for a special live broadcast—St. Louis on the Air: Facing the Mortgage Crisis.

As part of this special broadcast, community specialists will be manning a phone bank at KETC to answer specific questions from callers about their mortgage concerns and help connect them with vital community resources. The phone bank will be open for calls from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The numbers to call will be 1-800-568-9099 or 314-512-9090.

Individuals who plan on attending the Town Hall Meeting need to arrive at the Lee Theater by 6:40 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. broadcast. We will provide an overview of the program prior to the broadcast. Please extend this invitation to anyone you know who might also be interested in being a member of the audience.

If you want to be a member of the audience for the live broadcast, register online or call Amy Novy at (314) 516-5968. We would appreciate your response by August 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
